Lynell Collins and his LC Fire coaching team have been coaching both of my daughters, age 12 and 16, for the last five years both on the LC Fire teams and with individual training sessions. I was amazed by the improvement in their basketball handling skills, their shooting, and their overall basketball knowledge after only a few practices with Coach Collins. Now after all these years with him, they still leave every practice and training session with improved technique and a great attitude and love for the game. Coach Collins and his LC Fire team truly care about the children that they coach. He volunteers his time in the community and makes it a point to attend players’ games when they are playing for their respective schools. I know my girls truly feel that Coach Collins and his staff care about them both on and off the court.

Coach Collins will see a child’s shot that is off and completely dissect it until they get to the root of the problem and reset it. They tweak small issues they see with a player’s game and give hard, concrete work in order for them to improve. I have never met a parent or player that has not been completely satisfied with all LC Fire does. In fact, I have talked to many players and parents who have said that Coach Collins and his staff are their favorite coaches of all time. I know my daughters feel that way. LC Fire has filled a need in our daughter’s basketball pursuits. We were looking for a local league for our daughter to participate in during the off season. The thing we were drawn to in the LC Fire program was the focus on becoming a better player, not just winning games.Our daughter was given opportunities to play teams that challenged her skills and raised her confidence. The team atmosphere is diverse,encouraging and positive. As parents, we are all there watching our daughters become more confident in themselves and receiving quality skill building and coaching. We have enjoyed the one on one coaching Lynell offers as well. He is able to focus on our daughter’s strengths and fine-tune her weaknesses. She is always encouraged by the feedback and feels stronger after the workout. Lynell has a way of bringing out the best in his players by truly caring about them and getting to know each and every one of his players.

LC Fire is a great AAU experience. Coach Collins really cares about the kids, and he takes the time to teach them. My daughter's skills have improved so much in a short time! Her ball handling and shooting are better due to the focus that Coach Collins and the other coaches place on those skills. She has more confidence. The other girls on the team are friendly. They compete to win. Overall, it is a super fun and skill building community!! Go Fire!!!

We were first introduced to LC Fire and Lynell Collins in the Spring of 2017. The connection our daughter felt was immediate and she knew she wanted to play and train here. Since then we have played on LC Fire teams, attended camps and trained privately. The first thing we noticed was how Lynell takes the time to really get to know his players. He assesses their strengths, dissects the areas that need improvement and discusses where they want to go in the sport of basketball. We have seen so much growth in our daughter’s shooting, ball handling and court IQ under the coaching and mentoring of Lynell. Through the years, we have experienced many coaches but I have never met a coach that is able to bring the very best out of every player. He is the kind of coach that the players respond to and you see them work hard and want to do better for him. We are so grateful to Lynell Collins and LC Fire for helping our daughter develop into the player she is today.
